Here is a wonderful snack you can makes for kids (of any age). It comes from the Famous Mom who has eight kids...you may of heard of her show: Jon and Kate plus 8. Hope you enjoy!!!
Makes 18 servings (1/2 cup each)
Preperation time: 15 minutes
Start to Finish: 15 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
9 cups Chex Cereal (any variety)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
PREPARATION DIRECTIONS:
1. Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside
2. In 1-quart microwavable bowl, stir together chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave uncovered on high 1 minute; stir and microwave 30 more seconds or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir vanilla in. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
3. Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread onto wax paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
STOVE-TOP DIRECTIONS:
Same directions as above except use 1-quart sauce pan to melt chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter together over low heat, stirring it until smooth.

I love this recipe. We call them muddy buddies. It's addicting and so I try and only make them at christmas time. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
